We cater to the communities of New City, Clarkstown, Pomona, Suffern, Pearl River, and all of Rockland County.
Dr. Fern E. Cytryn, a board-certified pediatric dentist, is at the helm of our practice. She is committed to making a positive impact on the lives of her patients and their families. Her goal is to ensure that every child has a lifetime of excellent oral health, achieved through fun, secure, and comfortable experiences. Dr. Cytryn is an excellent listener, and she and her team prioritize open communication with parents to address any concerns they may have.
Dr. Cytryn is a double alumnus of New York University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Biology, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She received the prestigious American Society of Dentistry for Children Award for excellence in Pediatric Dentistry upon graduation from dental school.
After dental school, Dr. Cytryn completed a two-year General Practice and Oral Medicine residency at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. She then pursued her advanced specialty certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from The University of Rochester Strong Memorial Hospital Eastman Institute of Oral Health, where she served as Chief Resident. Her research was selected for presentation at The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA, and she won one of the top five prizes.
Dr. Cytryn is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. She believes in lifelong learning and regularly attends courses offered by The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and The American Academy of Pediatrics to stay updated on the latest treatments and best practices in pediatric dentistry.
In addition to her office practice, Dr. Cytryn maintains active Medical Staff privileges at Nyack Hospital. She serves on the Operating Room and Continuing Education Committees and is very active in the local community. She has close relationships with pediatrician colleagues, providing educational materials and consultations on children's oral health. You can also find her educating children about good oral health at local preschools and daycares.
