Brunson Jeffery

Jeffery R. Brunson, DDS, a native Texan, has been providing exceptional dental care to the South Austin community since 2001. With a strong educational background, Dr. Brunson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with honors from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, and later graduated from The University of Texas-Dental Branch at Houston in June 2000. During his time at the UT-Dental Branch, he was elected as Student Body President twice and served as a Texas Dental Association Representative from 1998-2000.

Following graduation, Dr. Brunson moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he gained additional training at Northwestern University Medical Center and practiced privately. Committed to lifelong learning, he actively seeks further knowledge and education in all aspects of dentistry by attending local study clubs and traveling extensively for advanced training. Dr. Brunson is also dedicated to dental volunteerism, providing regular service to the local community and participating in international trips to treat the Kuna Yala of Panama and the underserved in Peidras Negras, Mexico.

Throughout his career, Dr. Brunson has received numerous awards for excellence in dentistry, including the prestigious Capitol Area Dental Society Young Dentist of the Year (2003-2004), multiple CADS Service Awards, the ASDA (National) Student Leadership Award (2000), and the Senior Student of the Year-UTDB Alumni Association (2000). He remains an active member of several professional organizations, such as the American Dental Association (ADA), the Texas Dental Association (TDA), Capitol Area Dental Society (CADS), and various local study clubs. Dr. Brunson has also served as the President (2011-2012) and Executive Board member (2008-2012) of the Capitol Area Dental Society and as a delegate for the Austin area in the TDA House of Delegates. In 2014, he was inducted as a Fellow in the International College of Dentists (ICD) in recognition of his outstanding professional achievement, service, and dedication to the progress of dentistry.

Dr. Brunson's wife, Shana, met him while attending dental school in Houston. Today, they are proud parents of two children, Owen and Audrey. In his free time, Dr. Brunson enjoys various sports and outdoor activities, including golf, water sports, gardening, and restoring vintage vehicles.
