Our Practice

Dr. Berkvam earned a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's in biology before attending the University of Missouri-Kansas City Dental School, graduating in 1984. She has been practicing in downtown Kansas City, Missouri, since then. Dr. Berkvam remains current in dental education by meeting the yearly requirements in continuing education in both Missouri and Kansas, and frequently attends Kansas City Dental School alumni meetings. She has received her Invisalign Certification and is pleased to offer Invisalign services at her office. Dr. Berkvam has worked with the Women's Dental Organization Study Group, and the Chamber of Commerce has twice nominated Smiles of Kansas City Dental Center as the Small Business of the Year.

Away from work, Dr. Berkvam enjoys music, traveling, spending time with her husband and two children, hiking, and being active in her church. She is dedicated to helping her patients achieve optimal oral health and providing a comfortable, pleasant dental experience.
