Our History

In 1966, Dr. Ben Smith, Jr., affectionately known as "Big Ben, " established Smith Dentistry, after two years of dental service in the Navy. His warm sense of humor and gentle care helped him grow his modest family dentistry practice quickly. Dr. Smith's son, "Little Ben, " started helping out his father's practice at an early age and eventually pursued his Doctor of Dentistry from UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Dentistry in 1994. He joined the family practice and worked with his father for seven years before taking over the practice after his father's passing in 2001.

Today, Smith Family Dentistry offers a wide variety of cosmetic and general dentistry treatments to help our patients achieve their brightest smiles.
